I think you need to call in your order.
I've bought a lot of ammo from Midway with no problem, shipped to SoCal.

In Colombia ammo is illegal to own unless retired military or police. Cali is a wonderful beautiful city,on my list to move to.However, with the FARC and guerilla problem, a gringo face attracts to much attention. Do not get caught importing ammo into Colombia, jail time forever.

You can ship ammo to California no problem. The proplem is that LA county or LA city has a law (illegal under California's preemption statutes) about not mail ordering ammo.

Try calling midway directly.

Negative, it has to do with semi-auto pistols. Unless they have FP's that stamp the S/N in the cartridge case each time the gun is fired, they can't be sold here after 2010.

So buy 'em now.

There is another law that recently passed committee and is headed to the assembly.

It has to do with an ammunition license. Dastardly of the commie government here in CA.

Last year, Interminable also signed a bill banning lead ammo, apparently to protect buzzards that ingest lead from carcasses.

I didn't hear about that one. Do you have a link or something, I would like to read up on it. I didn't get anything on it in my search.

Not true. You can buy ammo by mail here. There are a few restrictions like no AP, but for JHP and ball you can buy whatever you want.

Re: Ammo in Cali

Well, the handgun bill apparently passed here, so soon you won't be able to buy handgun ammo by mail. Do it now while you still can.

Search for California AB821 (e.g., http://www.birdlife.org/news/news/20...ia_condor.html).

05/14/2008 - AB 362 has been amended to a "Study Bill." Accordingly, NRA has removed it's opposition to the bill but continues to monitor it closely.

04/14/2008 - AB 362 will next appear before the Senate Appropriations Committee, date unknown at this time.

09/12/2007 - AB 362 failed to make it out of the legislature and is now a "two-year bill". That means it cannot progress further in 2007, but may again become active after the legislature reconvenes in January, 2008.

California is committing genocide against my family and friends. I am a member of the gun culture.

Genocide
noun
the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

I am a CCW holder, in SoCal. I have ten years of training in classes with pros. I had 2 of my children shooting at our Gun Club Saturday, age 7 and ten. They handle firearms more safely than most adults. I was an FFL Dealer until Clinton and the ATF became intolerable.

I am not amused by the trend to disarm individuals in Ca.

Yup, I can move. God willing, I will.
